All parts and compatible spare parts are fitted at consumers own risk and we suggest that any work carried out on any electrical goods is checked and passed by a qualified electrical technician before use. The parts supplied are only intended for the goods indicated, Ion Originals Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any use of the parts supplied for any other use than that of which is suggested. All parts come with a 3 months warranty, if the goods become faulty due to natural failure during normal intended use within 3 months of receiving the goods please return the goods with your ordering documentation and we will arrange a replacement where available and a refund if the parts are no longer available. All parts are either patent or re-cycled from old / used ghds.
All our new straighteners come with a 12 months warranty from the date purchased, if the straighteners become faulty within this time after normal recommended use please return the goods with your ordering documentation and we will arrange a repair or replacement when a repair is not possible. The consumer is responsible for returning the goods to us unless the item has become faulty within the first 30 days of use, if the goods have become faulty within the first 30 days please contact us at email@example.com for return conditions. All our refurbished straighteners and stylers come with our in house 3 months warranty from the date of purchase if the straighteners become faulty within this time after normal recommended use please return the goods with your ordering documentation and we will arrange a repair or replacement when a repair is not possible. All our professional repairs are carried out on behalf of Ion Originals Ltd. The www.ghdspares.com repair service is normally carried out within 24 hours of us receiving the straighteners* this is our average repair time and includes all electrical repairs, labour, parts and return post. We also repair non electrical faults including damage to ghd casings, plates, arms and hinges and where available we will replace the damage section of iron but such repairs may take longer than our average repair time or incur an additional fee, subject to availability. Also, on rare occasions where the full PCB needs replacing in MK4 irons we may require an additional payment we will contact you if this is necessary. We aim to repair all genuine ghd hair straighteners and manage to do this in over 95% of cases, however on the rare occasion the straighteners are beyond economical repair we will always contact you and offer a refund and the return of your irons, we are unable at this time to repair the GHD eclipse model, please do not send the eclipse model for repair, we can recycle it but the sender would be responsible for the return postage of this model. If in doubt about the state of your repair please contact us first. Please note, we do not repair counterfeit ghd straighteners, if you are in doubt about the authenticity of your ghd's please try and register the serial number with ghd first at www.ghdhair.com , if you send us fake ghd irons we will contact you, however if you need the irons returning please be aware that there is a £6.00 administration and inspection fee plus a £3.95 return postage charge.
All our UK repairs are dispatched Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery. If you have paid via credit card via our secure server payment system your recorded delivery number will be updated on this system and if you register your email address on this system your recorded delivery number will be sent to you via email on dispatch. You can track your delivery on the royal mail website by clicking here. If more than 5 working days have passed since you sent the ghd's in for repair and you have not received the straighteners back or heard from us you can request an update via email. Please email email@example.com including a return contact telephone number and all your order details. You should receive an update within 24 hours of emailing us. In the case of a straightener being dispatched to the customer and the straighteners not being received, please allow 5 working days before contacting us as postage times may vary. We recommend contacting your local Royal Mail sorting office during this time to make sure they are not holding the delivery for you, this should be done despite a card being left or not by your postman. In the rare case that a parcel cannot be traced after 14 working days please contact us to arrange making a claim with Royal Mail and the item would be considered missing.
All our repairs come with a warranty of three months from the date of the repair. If your straighteners become faulty with a similar problem within the warranty period they can be returned to us for a warranty repair service. Please make sure you send a copy of your documentation along with return address and contact telephone number with a note explaining. We will endeavour in most cases to return your warranty repair within 5 working days of receipt. There should be no additional fee to pay to us. The customer should incur any costs of getting the irons back to us, however in the rare occasion where an iron develops a fault within 14 days of receipt after repair you can claim your return postage back. *Rare product failure notice - in our experience due to a potential IC failure on some MK4 PCB's be aware that on very rare occasions some MK4 models can overheat, this is an original known fault and can happen at any time for no apparent reason. We therefore recommend always testing the irons on a small area of hair before styling. If the irons do overheat turn the power on and off and repeat the check. Unless a PCB or IC is replaced on one of our repairs we are not resonsible for any damage caused to the straighteners or that of the user.
